그러나 나뭇가지가 줄기 밑둥에서부터 시작하여 총총히 뻗은 데다 

나무 잎새가 또 그 가지 가지 밑에서부터 끝까지 다닥다닥 붙어 있어 

이 나무의 속으론 햇빛도 좀체 뚫지 못하고 

바람도 웬만해서는 흔들지 못하는 깊고 짙도 고요한 그늘을 가졌다. 

 꿈의 나무라고도 할까.

 However, the branches stretched out from the bottom of the stem, 

 and the leaves of the tree were attached from the bottom to the end of the branch, so inside this tree, 

there was a deep and deep shade 

that could not penetrate the sunlight and the wind could not shake.
